The eighth event of the Do Big Symposium season 9 presented by Tata Tele Business Services & powered by CNBC-TV18 was held in New Delhi at Shangri- La on December 2nd, 2016. The event commenced with the keynote address delivered by Mr. Srinivasan Sandilya, Chairman, Eicher Motors Ltd. He quoted, “The entire ecosystem will adopt digital over time.” He further explained how companies must develop a digital vision in order to reap digital dividends. As the keynote address concluded, Mr. Prateek Pashine, President Enterprise, Tata Tele Business Services took the stage to present Tata Tele Business Services’ view on Digital Dividends: A Leader’s Perspective. This was followed by a panel discussion on “Digital Dividends: A Leader’s Perspective’. The panel consisted of Rachna Nath, Partner and Head, Digital Consulting - KPMG, Harjit Singh Chauhan, SVP and Head - B2B Operations at Tata Teleservices Ltd, Dr. R.S. Khanna, Chairman - Quality Limited, Vivek Kamra, President India – J K Tyres and Industries Ltd. The event was brought to a close by a vote of thanks and summary of the evening’s proceedings delivered by Abhimanyu Radhakrishnan.

Currently Independent Director and Chairman, Kwality Limited, New Delhi, Dr. R. S. Khanna has dedicated forty five years to the dairy sector. He has held several important positions In the NDDB, AMUL , was the Managing Director, Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation, Jaipur. He was director on the boards of the many State Dairy Federations, was a Member of the Rajasthan State Planning Board, was a Member on the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Subcommittee of the National Planning Commission (10th Plan), was Director General, Ganesh Scientific Research Foundation New Delhi, was Consultant to the Government of India, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture. Dr. Khanna has held International assignments in the dairy sector with the World Bank, Asian Productivity Organisation, Japan, Policy Reforms Committee of Pakistan, JE Austin Associates, Inc. Lahore and Consultant Dairy and Animal Feed Groups of the Sayga Investment Co. Ltd., Khartoum, Sudan. And has carried out many developmental and commercial assignments in Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Vietnam, Denmark, and Germany. He has widely visited the Eurpoe, Asia and Africa. Dr Khanna has published a book “Indian Dairy Cooperatives” for the ICAR, has an editor for the book “Managment of Mastitis – Application of Mastilep” edited the e-book “Sustainable Dairy Sector and Poverty Reduction in Asia” for APO Tokyo, was Technical Editor for the “Dairy India Yearbook – 2007 and 2016.
His working career spans over 44 years. He started his career in 1969 with DCM group of companies at their Group Headquarters in the Finance function. After a years stint with DCM he joined Union Carbide where he worked for five years in three locations namely Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai in Systems as well as Finance and Accounts. Mr. Sandilya joined Eicher in 1975. He has been a part of the growth journey of the Group and held various positions in different business units. He was the Managing Director of Eicher Motors Limited, the Commercial Vehicles Manufacturing business unit of the Group till 1998 before moving to the Group Office to take responsibility for Group Finance and Strategic Planning in addition to being the MD of Eicher Motors. He was appointed Group Chairman and CEO in April 2000. The groups portfolio at that time included Agricultural tractors, Commercial vehicles, Motorcycles, Engineering Components, Engineering Solutions and Business Consulting Services. He is the Non-Executive Chairman from 2006 after superannuation.
Mr. Vivek Kamra, President - India Operations, JK Tyre, has a penchant for achieving more each day. Prior to joining JK Tyre, Mr Kamra, worked in Singapore as President & CEO - NatSteel Holding Pte. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel Ltd. He has 25 years of rich experience working with multiple teams and organizations across geographies. Mr. Karma graduated with a B.Tech from IIT Mumbai, followed by a Business Management degree from XLRI, Jamshedpur and a General Management Programme Degree from INSEAD, France. Outside office hours, he spends time at the squash courts, playing with his son or socializing with friends and colleagues. He also likes a round of golf or a game of cricket.
