Do Big Symposium season 9 presented by Tata Tele Business Services & powered by CNBC-TV18 held their first event of the series in Chennai at Taj Coromandel on September 23rd, 2016. The core agenda of the convention was to address major business challenges and help businesses reap digital dividends through the effective implementation of digital technology. The event commenced with the keynote speaker for the evening, Ms. Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director - Apollo Hospitals Groups. She shared her views on the impact of digitisation on the healthcare sector. In addition to that, she said, “The value of digital is that it can boost the healthcare industry with e-pharma, online Medicare and more tech-enabled services.” Mr. Prateek Pashine, President Enterprise, Tata Tele Business Services took the stage thereafter and presented Tata Tele Business Services’ perspective on Digital Dividends: A Leaders Perspective. This was followed by a panel discussion consisting of industry leaders like Ms. Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director - Apollo Hospitals, KK Raman, Partner, Management Consulting –KPMG, AB Khare, Chairman and Managing Director - Madras Fertilizers Ltd, Sameer Wanchoo, Head Marketing – CavinKare and Prateek Pashine, President - Enterprise Business at Tata Teleservices Ltd. The panel discussion brought to the table some interesting perspectives from various verticals across the industry.

Suneeta Reddy is the Managing Director of the Apollo Group. Her financial acumen has been the key factor in the group's dramatic growth and profitability. Her insights have played an instrumental role in encouraging medical value travelers to Apollo Hospitals and to India at large. She led the Apollo Reach Hospitals model to fruition which was commended by World Bank as an innovation redefining both healthcare and healthcare design. Suneeta now steers the corporate strategy, corporate finance, funding and investments and will be leveraging M&As to achieve objectives of an accelerated pace of growth and in optimizing profitability.
Shri A B Khare is a Chemical Engineer with BE (Chemical) degree from University of Roorkee (Now IIT Roorkee) in 1978. He joined RCF as a Management Trainee in 1980 and served in various capacities in several plants before finally reaching the position of Chief General Manager (Commercial).He was instrumental in RCF where his valid suggestions were implemented in various departments like Manufacturing, Projects, Corporate Planning & Commercial which resulted in huge savings to RCF.He joined Madras Fertilizers Limited (MFL) as Chairman & Managing Director on January 14, 2016 and now helping MFL which is on its revival path.
K.K. Raman is the Head of Business Excellence practice at KPMG in India, where he oversees strategic quality advisory services encompassing model-based, six sigma, testing and process improvement services. He is a part of the core technology sector team for the firm. As a business leader, K.K. has guided and directed over 200 advisory engagements, covering areas such as quality governance, process and performance improvements, IT projects evaluation, organisational performance/human capital reviews, and assessments for KPMG member firms, both in India and overseas. Internationally, K.K. has also conducted a high number of process maturity assessments for several organisations.
Mr. Sameer Wanchoo (aged 40) heads marketing at CavinKare India Pvt. Ltd. Across Personal Care, Foods, Ambient Dairy and Beverages. He has around 16 years of rich FMCG marketing experience and has worked across categories like Hair Wash, Hair Oils, Oral Care and Skin Care.He has worked in CKPL for around 6 years and is responsible for its success in Hairwash and Hair Oil Domain. He has been the driving force behind success of several of CKPL iconic brands like Chik Shampoo, Nyle Shampoo, Meera Herbal Hair Care Range, Karthika Herbal Hair Care Range etc. He is responsible for ushering in a new aggressive culture in CKPL which focuses on close consumer interaction for faster growths. At just 40 years of age he remains one of the youngest marketing heads in a medium sized FMCG company.Mr. Sameer Wanchoo is an Engineer from Mumbai University and MBA from KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies. He is an avid sports buff and loves to unwind by listening to contemporary English Music.
Prateek Pashine, Head Enterprise Business Unit, Tata Teleservices Limited, has close to two decades of experience across several industries, a major part of which has been in the telecom domain. He began his career with the Tata Group in 1995 and has worked in diverse industries within the group, such as hospitality, software, real estate apart from telecom equipment and related services. Currently, under his leadership, Tata Docomo Business Services offers integrated telecom & IT solutions to the Enterprise and Carrier segments. An MBA in Corporate Strategy and Marketing (IIM, Bangalore) with an Engineering degree in Electronics, Prateek was also a recipient of the prestigious Fullbright Scholarship, for Leadership in Management at the Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA.
