The customer is one of the leading pharma and healthcare distribution companies in India. The group has been involved in pharma and healthcare distribution business since 1932. It has multiple interests in the pharma and allied sectors, including bulk drug manufacturing formulations, 3PL logistics and distribution. The group leadership collaborates with all leading Indian and global pharma companies at the promoter level. Headquartered in Mumbai, the customer now operates through a unique hub and spoke model.

Business Challenge

The customer was searching for secured connectivity with managed hub and spoke topology, hub being 10 Mbps and spokes being 2 Mbps and 4 Mbps, respectively. All the customer locations hosted data applications and required to be connected.

The customer was finding it challenging to manage the current mix of VPN technology. The new solution had to be integrated with the existing CPE setup. It was required to provide predictable costing on network infrastructure as well as future capacity planning and budgeting.

The customer was looking for a flexible, cost-effective connectivity solution, with a single point of interface with the service provider. They also required an Internet Security setup at the headquarters.

Tata Tele Business Services Solution

TTBS provided the customer with Layer 3 MPLS VPN service using hub and spoke topology. They provided deployment across five sites, managed CPE and the customer’s existing LAN prefix routing. They also provided standard reporting along with an SLA on latency, packet drop and jitter.
