To connect to the internet at a Tata Tele Wi-Fi hotspot, all you need a Wi-Fi enabled device with a supported browser.

  • Enable Wi-Fi and select SSID
  • Open the internet browser & the Tata Tele Wi-Fi service page will open. If it does not, then type any URL (e.g., www.google.com) to get redirected to Tata Tele Wi-Fi welcome page
  • Enter your mobile number to get OTP, submit OTP to log in to Tata Tele Wi-Fi session
  • Do not close this session page. Open another tab in browser to surf the internet
  • Use the log out button to terminate the session

How to buy plans online

  • Next, enter mobile number to get OTP, submit OTP to complete registration for online buy plans
  • Complete payment through online payment gateway i.e., Bill desk OR Paytm
  • Once payment completes, auto login (10 sec) to Tata Tele Wi-Fi session will take place
  • Do not close this session page. User can surf the internet in another tab
  • User can use his remaining quota by selecting ‘Existing User’ tab under ‘Premium Wi-Fi’ and enter mobile number & OTP combination

How many devices can I connect in the same session?
Only 1 device is allowed per active session. In order to switch devices, please logout of the session from the current device and login from the other device using the same mobile number and PIN.
How do I logout from Tata Tele Wi-Fi?
Check the service confirmation SMS for the logout URL, else go to the landing page and click on ‘Switch To Another Device’ to logout.

How do I re-login to Tata Tele Wi-Fi?
Visit the landing page and login using the same mobile number and PIN (select ‘Already have PIN’ option).
Error messages explained:
Some of the common error messages encountered are as follows -
  1. Authentication Failed: Incorrect Password entered
  2. Authorization Failed: Free usage quota exhausted
  3. User Profile Not Found: Mobile number and PIN combination does not match
  4. User Profile Expired: PIN validity is over
  5. Balance Insufficient: Insufficient balance left in the pack. (New pack to be purchased to continue)
  6. Network Interruption: User is already logged in from another device
  7. Voucher is already activated: Voucher code entered is not valid for this Voucher number
I do not have a SIM, how can I use Tata Tele Wi-Fi?
It is mandatory to have an active mobile connection (domestic or international with roaming enabled) to be able to receive a PIN or an OTP (One Time Password) for authentication. In case of select Airport Hotspots (Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru), you may approach the Information Desk to speak to an onsite Tata Tele customer support executive who will assist you further.
Why is mobile number necessary to access Tata Tele Wi-Fi?
This is a regulatory requirement mandated by the Department of Telecommunication of India as it is the means of authenticating a user of public Wi-Fi.
How to purchase an online pack?
  1. Click on ‘Buy Plans Online’ and select the pack you want to purchase
  2. Select ‘Country’ from drop-down & enter mobile number
  3. Check the ‘Terms & Conditions’ box and click ‘Get PIN’
  4. Enter the PIN received via SMS and click on ‘Submit’
  5. Complete your payment by choosing the appropriate payment option and you’d be connected to internet
