Mr. Chandrasekaran is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS). Mr. Chandrasekaran joined TCS in 1987 and has worked in different capacities before taking over his current position. He is on the boards of Tata Business Support Services Ltd. and many TCS subsidiaries.
Mr. Chandrasekaran has completed his Masters degree in Computer Applications in 1986 and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science.
He is a member of Executive Council, National Association of Software & Service Companies (Nasscom). Mr. Chandrasekaran was voted as the best CEO of India for two consecutive years (2010 and 2011) by Finance Asia magazine’s annual poll of investors and analysts. Mr. Chandrasekaran was also named as the “Best Executive in India” (2010) by Asiamoney. He was also awarded the “Business Leader of the Year” by All India Management Association (AIMA) Managing India Awards 2011.
