TTML commenced landline operations in 1998 and today has the largest wire line base in Mumbai and Maharashtra amongst all private operators. It commenced full mobility wireless services on the CDMA-1X platform in 2004-5.
The Company also has a significant presence in the GSM space, through its joint venture with NTT DOCOMO of Japan, and offers differentiated products and services under the TATA DOCOMO brand name. Tata DOCOMO arises out of the Tata Group’s strategic alliance with Japanese telecom major NTT DOCOMO in November 2008. The Company rolled out its GSM services under the brand name TATA DOCOMO in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa.
